In person 4 day Book Exchange Schedule

As our school moves to a 4 day schedule, book exchanges may have changed days, please see below:

Mondays            Tuesdays           Thursdays            Fridays

Hughes                Collins                Thibault            Collins

Thibault               Trieb                   Davis                Trieb

Davis                   Thomas               Barnett              Thomas

Helfrich              Anderson                                       Anderson

                            Bassett                                           Kelly

                            Barnett                                           Helfrich

Please make sure that your student(s) have their library books on book exchange day so they may borrow new titles. We appreciate your support! Each grade may borrow 2 titles each time they get to visit. Due to this particular year and the quarantine process it is important to return your books on time since so many titles are in high demand. Happy Reading, Ms. Hebert

Book Exchanges

Our classes all have a book exchange time when they can swap their library books.

Here are the days that students need to remember to have their library books at school:

Mondays        Tuesdays        Thursdays        Fridays

Kelly                Bassett        Kelly                Bassett

Hughes            Barnett        Hughes            Barnett

Thibault            Collins        Thibault            Collins

Davis                Trieb          Davis                Trieb

Helfrich            Thomas       Helfrich            Thomas

                        Anderson                           Anderson

Because of this unique year, there is no saving shelf to hold their library choices overnight so they can locate their books at home. So it is important they have their books on their library day. Thank you to all of our families that are assisting the students in this task!

Happy Reading, Ms. Hebert

Welcome to the UMS Library!

I hope you all had time to read this summer! We did at our house, as you can see Pixie and Aurora are enjoying a good story. They joined us often in our read alouds this last spring. Our library is waiting for you. Champ and Pigeon are ready for you to enjoy books from our collection again.

If you are at school a couple days a week, then your class will have a book exchange time. If you are learning from home only this year, you will have access to the collection with a request form and then be able to pick-up your items. Everyone will see library lessons in Seesaw this year.

Happy Reading,

Ms. Hebert

Red Clover Books reminder

I have been thinking about all the Red Clover books we read together this school year. I am using Google Slides to look back at the 10 titles in our program. If you click on the picture above it will take you to the slideshow.
We will be hosting a Red Clover vote for students when we get settled from returning after our school break.
Happy Reading, Ms. Hebert

Ideas for reading

I created a Google Slideshow that shares ideas for chapter books to read. If you click on the book covers, then you will get more information (book summary, reading levels, etc.) from our library catalog. I hope this tool will give you some ideas of what you might enjoy.

Happy Reading, Ms. Hebert

Disney activities

Hello everyone,

A friend of mine shared this Disney treat with me recently. There are activities based on Disney movies. If anyone else is watching Disney + during this time at home, these activities might be fun.
Stay healthy please,
Ms. Hebert

Reading

I already miss you all so much! I hope you are healthy and happy. What are you reading these days? I am reading a mystery. The characters witnessed a crime and now they are collecting clues to solve the mystery. I am also watching a bit of Disney + because it makes me feel good!

I have been thinking about all of you and our weekly read alouds. So I made a video of me reading the book, Penguin Problems by Jory John. A second grader recommended it as a read aloud. I have posted the video on my Youtube page.  I hope you enjoy! Due to copyright law, I cannot post the videos here.
